Microcephaly
Microcephaly is a condition in which the head circumference is two times smaller than that of a normal person of the same age on a standard deviation. Microcephaly occurred relatively frequently among persons exposed in the uterus at a gestational age of less than 16 weeks.

Right: A 15 year-old boy exposed in the uterus 1.2 km from the hypocenter (estimated gestational age: seven weeks). The boy suffered general growth retardation, microcephaly and severe brain development disorder and died at the age of 16.
